London Open Gardens Walk

Join us for a walking tour of several private communal gardens in the centre of London, which are exceptionally open to the public on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 of June.
We will stop for lunch along the way (not included)
We will start our walk at Nevern Square with some refreshment before heading to the Victorian Queen's gate gardens where some 150 years old catalpa tree stand. We will take the bus or walk to Knightsbridge to visit beautiful Cadogan Place North and South Gardens. The Cadogan Place South Gardens was known as the London Botanical Gardens. The North side of the Gardens was used during WW2 to station tanks, aircraft guns and troops. We will pop in the Belgrave Square Gardens and Eaton Gardens where we will find something to drink and snack. Depending on our energy and will, we can then catch the bus 19 towards Covent Gardens. We could continue our exploration of the beautiful private communal gardens with The Phoenix Garden and some of the most elegant squares in Bloomsbury area: Bedford square and Montague Square to finish at Lincoln's Inn Gardens where we could find something to eat or have a coffee.
Your ticket will give you the opportunity to continue to explore the beautiful private gardens on Sunday.
A key feature of London, the London squares were built for people living on those ordered, spacious arrangement of streets and leafy open spaces. Dating back to the Victorian and Edwardian period, when the urban population was rapidly increasing, they now contribute to the today quality of life, offering residents a space to relax and to socialise.
They are protected by Act of Parliament (The Kensington Improvement Act 1851, The Town Gardens Protection Act 11863 and The London Squares Preservation Act 1931) which play a huge part in protecting that those green space are preserved for future generations.
