The International Association of Lyceum Club held its triennial congress in Morocco during the last week of May 2022. It was a great opportunity for members from Lyceum clubs across the world to meet, socialise and exchange ideas. Carefully prepared by the Club in Rabat, with the support of the Congress, the programme included a two-day pre-tour in Fez, Volubilis and Meknes, and a three-day post-tour in Marrakesh and the Agafay desert.
Taking place every three years (our last Congress was in Stockholm), the Congress is an important moment in the life of the clubs. It is when the ICB (International Central Bureau) invites Presidents of the different clubs to run working sessions, to define the International Federation orientations, to take decisions, to adopt new clubs, etc. Decisions and the proposed election of BCI members are then presented at the General meeting, and voted on by delegates.
In addition, the International Lyceum Club of Rabat prepared a series of varied and engaging social events, including cultural visits of the city and conferences, and culminating with the Gala dinner on the last evening.
The President of the International Lyceum Club of London Club was present at the IALC Congress.
